About this item

  • The speed needle provides a quick way to string your fish after capture, without you having to swim to your float. Made of solid 316 stainless steel, it measures 11 inches long and .25 inch in diameter.
  • The Speed Needle Stringer is used to thread fish onto your float line. It Is one of the fastest and easiest ways to string fish to your float from your float line. One loop goes attached to your speargun handle, the other to your float line.
  • Once a fish is caught and dispatched, string the fish through the gills or eyes and then re-attach the stringer to the speargun handle. As you swim forward, the fish will slide along the float line until it reaches the float/buoy. This method of holding onto your catch is much safer and more practical than a fish stringer attached to yourself.
  • This stringing method is usually the only way to avoid conflict with sharks and seals that want a free feed. Towing them on your float line won’t prevent the fish from being taken, but it’s better to feel a tug on your float than a tug at your waist.
